ABOUT SIDDHA CENTRAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE |
Established in a rented building in 1971; Present rent free building was provided in 1975 by Govt. of Tamil Nadu; Centralised projects such as LR&DD, MCRU, DRSMD, Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry established by CCRAS in 1979; Merger of tribal projects took place in 1999. The present Director is Dr.K.Ganapathiraman, M.D. (Siddha).

Siddha Central Research Institute is the centre of excellence for Clinical research and methodology. It is functioning under Central Council for Research in Siddha, Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,Govt.of India. This Institute is housed in the campus of Arignar Anna Govt. Hospital of Indian Systems of medicine at Arumbakkam, chennai which is adjacent to Periyar High Road and Anna Arch.
